Watermelon and Banana Fruit Smoothie Recipe

My family enjoys eating watermelon year round. Matter of fact, it’s one of their top five favorite fruits to eat. When I purchase a fresh watermelon it never lasts long…they’ll eat the entire melon in less than 2-3 days! Besides eating watermelon as a snack…we like to use it in some of our favorite fruit smoothie recipes. The following recipe utilizes fresh or frozen watermelon.

Don’t have any honey on hand? Don’t worry, you can substitute 1 tsp. of granulated sugar for the honey. If you want to bump up  the nutritional value and health benefits use Manuka Honey  instead of regular honey. We like to serve our fruit smoothies in chilled glasses. If you’re the same…place glass in the freezer for 30-60 minutes before pouring the fruit smoothie into it.
