Sea and Ocean Animals Rub-on Transfers Decals for Crafts

Sea and Ocean Animals Rub-on Transfers Decals for CraftsI love the beach life and everything that goes along with it. There’s something about sitting on the beach and listening to the waves that calms my soul….my entire soul!!! With that said, I decorate our home in a Coastal Beach Style and often make home decorating accessories to fit within my style. Since I’m not a professional artist, I often turn to rub-on transfers and decals that I purchase from Amazon to decorate some of my arts & craft projects.

If you enjoy painting on seashells or crafting with seashells…you’ll find over 150+ seashell craft projects right here on the Two Classy Chics blog! We will be sharing more seashell craft projects in the future too!

Every year I like to paint several very large clam shells and decorate them to display around our pool area and on our back deck. They’re perfect for the coastal theme that I decorate with and fit perfectly into the summertime season. This year I purchased a pack of Sea and Ocean Animals Rub-On Transfers and Decals from Amazon for an affordable price. You get 12 sheets of rub-on transfers in the pack.

The designs include but aren’t limited to: dolphins, whales, sharks, stingrays, octopus, turtles, mermaids, jellyfish, tropical fish, coral reefs, starfish, seashells, sea horses, seals, etc. I love the beautiful colors used within the designs.

How to Use: Cut the desired image from the backing sheet. Pull the backing sheet off of the design and lay the transfer down onto your surface. I then used a wood popsicle stick to rub it onto the surface. Make sure it’s laying flat and that you smooth out any air bubbles. You would to get all of the edges and the center portion. Once done, pull up one corner and gently start peeling the front protective sheet off of the design. Use your fingers to smooth the design down into place.

Since I’m going to be using these shells outside…I applied 2 light coats of Clear Mod Podge Sealer over the top of the seashell. Left it thoroughly dry and then flipped it over to coat the other side. Let dry overnight. This will protect the painted surface, the transfer and the seashell from the weather elements.
