Have you ever had a pet as a child? If so, hold old were you when you got that first pet? What was it? I was 5 years old when we first got a family cat. We had her for 8 years. The first pet that was truly MINE were 2 lovebirds that I named Lovie and Sweetie. I had them for 3 years. I had multiple hampsters and guinea pigs too! Now that I’m an adult, I’m all about dogs. We had our first family dog for 11 years. She passed away 2 years ago. We now have a 1 year old Corgi who we adore.
