Cleaning the microwave oven on a weekly basis can be time consuming and a real mess. No matter how hard we try…food splatters and spilles inside the microwave. That’s not even mentioning the grease and oil that seems to quickly accumulate. Blah…cleaning the microwave is a chore that I can certainly do without.

Last month I changed up my cleaning routine. I started using Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash Dish Spray to clean the inside and outside of them microwave oven with amazing results! From start to finish…cleaning the microwave now only takes 5 minutes of time once a week. Yay! I can live with that!
Remove the turn-table and anything else that you have inside the microwave. Lightly spray a small amout of the Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash Dish Spray on a damp microfiber cleaning cloth or a little bit directly on the baked on gunk inside the microwave. You ONLY need a little bit! If you’re spraying it directly on the grime…let it sit for 5 minutes, so that it breaks it down for easy cleaning.
Use the damp microfiber cleaning cloth to wipe up the entire inside of the microwave. Get the sides, top and the bottom. The food debris, grease and grime wipes right up! Rinse the cleaning cloth under clean water in your kitchen sink. Wring it out and wipe the inside of the microwave again. I do this 2 times to make sure you I get any remaining residue out.
Rinse out your cleaning cloth again. Lightly spray a little bit of the Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash Dish Spray onto the microfiber cleaning cloth and wipe down the entire outside of the microwave. I get the sides, top and the door. If your’s has a handle and buttons…wipe those down too. Rinse out the cleaning cloth with clean water and wipe down the outside one more time to remove any remaining residue. That’s it, you’re done!
Personally, I’ve never found an easier way to get all of the gunk and grime (including grease) cleaned out of the inside of the microwave oven. The Dawn Platinum Plus Powerwash Dish Spray is my new GO-TO for microwave cleaning. You only need to little bit of the product and ALWAYS make sure you do a good job at rinsing things out.
