We took a road trip through the state of Pennsylvania traveling along Interstate 80 better known as I-80. One of the things we love about traveling I-80 through central Pennsylvania to western Pennsylvania is all of the beautiful mountains that you pass through. You will see a ton of the countryside for miles and miles!
As travelers who enjoy road trips and visiting small towns across the USA we like to jump on and off of the major highways to visit the small towns along the way. Often times these jaunts lead to off-the-beaten bath treasures that don’t draw a lot of the tourists. Our type of places!
Anyway, we finally reached the elevation of 2250 foot on I-80. They have a big road sign up that let’s you know that you reached the highest point on Interstate 80 East of the Mississippi. Very cool. I can tell you that our ears were eventually popping once we got through all of the mountainess areas.
