December 2020 was the first year that me and my family volunteered our time with Wreaths Across America. We documented our very first experience with information and photos right HERE on the TwoClassyChics blog. You can re-visit that post to learn more about the organization and their program.
Fast forward to December 2024 and this is our 4th year volunteering with Wreaths Across America. We lay the donated wreaths as part of the program at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. This year we had 4 family members participating in the program (3 others were ill at the time). Regardless, the 4 of us got a lot done on December 19th which is National Wreaths Across America Day.
This has become a family tradition for us over the past 4 years and it will continue on…hopefully more family members (and friends) will get involved. This year it was cold (but not bitterly cold) and we didn’t have any snow on the ground. Yeah, the weather cooperated on this beautiful day.
After we’re done volunteering the family heads out together for a well deserved lunch at a local restaurant. We really enjoy volunteering together as a family and equally as important…helping out the veterans and their families. If you have time, we highly recommend that you get involved with Wreaths Across America.
