The National Marbles Tournament is held in Wildwood, New Jersey every year. They’ve been hosting the tournament for decades! The tournament is held every June the week after Father’s Day. You can check out the schedule, learn more about it and donate via their online website.
Several times we’ve been down to Wildwood while the tournament has been going on and it’s something to see! They will play over 1200 games during the 4-day tournament. We’ve seen them play in all kinds of different weather…from windy to hot & humid. They really draw in the competitors and spectators alike.
The tournament is held at the historic Ringer’s Stadium along the famous Wildwood Boardwalk. Here’s a few photographs of some of the game boards that we took while on a recent trip down to Wildwood. As you can see, it’s played and held right on the beach! How fun!!! What a beautiful backdrop with the Atlantic Ocean behind you and one of Morey’s Amusement Piers to the right.
