I took my wife out for a quick dinner a few nights ago to a local small restaurant. It’s locally-owned, not a franchise or chain. Anyway, we like to dine there once every 2 weeks or so because the food is affordable and good. Plus, we can get in and out quickly. They’re never overly-crowded.
On that particular night I was hungry for comfort food so I ordered chicken croquettes, mashed potatoes and gravy. My wife ordered a hamburger, french fries and cole slaw. Typical type’s of food you see on a small restaurant’s menu. Anyway…that night the Chef had a sense of humor going on. Check out the photo of the food presentation. Yes, that’s exactly how it arrived onto the table. See what I’m seeing?
I have a sense of humor and I found it to be hysterical. My wife and I had a good laugh over it. On the drive home we were discussing it and still laughing about it. (yes, it was delicious). While we thought it was funny and had a good laugh over it…another customer may get offended over it. You never know what type of customer you may be serving. While I appreciated the humor, the next guy might not.
Just a warning to those Chefs and Cooks out in the world. Know your clientele and be careful on your food presentation! I enjoyed it and had a good laugh! I’m certainly not a prune!
