While on vacation we took the time to visit the new North Wildwood Shell Garden in New Jersey. You’ll find it located right on the beach off of 20th street. Once you’re at the boardwalk…look for the big flagpole on the beach. You’ll find the garden right around the Boardwalk Lou Memorial Plaque. It’s very easy to get to!
Painting and decorating seashells is a lot like painting kindness rocks. You paint and decorate them…then leave them at various places that you go for other’s to find! I’ve been painting and decorating seashells since 2010…before it even become a big thing! I’m so happy to see thousands of people are now painting shells and distributing them. It’s also a great way to build up your own personal artwork collection.
You’ll see a sign at the garden that gives you the instructions on how you can participate. You can leave painted & decorated seashells, take an unpainted shell and bring it back after you’ve decorated it…or just take ONE for your personal collection. Please don’t take MORE THAN ONE unless you are leaving MORE THAN ONE in return. We need to keep the new North Wildwood Shell Garden growing!
If you’re going to be in the Stone Harbor, Avalon, Cape May and/or Wildwood areas…please stop in to visit the new North Wildwood Shell Garden!
