Summer is the season of laid-back get-togethers like barbecues in the backyard, hangouts at the beach, and enjoying time with friends outdoors under the warm sunshine. These summer gatherings are always chill and easy-going, but that doesn’t mean a girl can’t look her best by choosing a stylish casual outfit! The summertime is the right time for easy breezy styles in lightweight fabrics and light, sunny colours! Let’s put together a summer outfit that will shine in that summer sun!
Linen Pants – A nice, cool pair of women’s linen pants is the perfect choice for a beach bash or a posh garden party. Linen is the go-to fabric for warm weather, it’s breathable and never shows perspiration, so it always looks fabulous even when the nights are hot and heavy! Linen always looks great in light shades like tan, peach, and lavender, but whatever colour you choose you will feel as light and airy as the summer breeze!
Crop Top – It’s summertime, so show some skin with a sexy crop top, a type of cut-off shirt that reveals and exposes the waist. Go for one with some dangly fringe to catch the eye or with some beadwork for that exotic look. The colour can match or accent your pants, or you can use polka dots or zigzags to add some spice.
Shades – This is your chance to go big or go home, summer is the season for oversized, gaudy sunglasses that would make Elton John blush! Choose day-glo colours like tropical tangerine or lime green, and tinted lenses to match! You can make them rose-tinted, but you won’t need to because your world will already be full of fun!
Belt – Wide and wild is the way to go this summer! Try interlocking gold rings for a gleaming demeanour, or an open weave in white, whatever you choose make it at least the width of your palm, and let it ride low on your hips for a swinging swagger as you walk the sands at sunset!
Sun Hat – Floppy lightweight canvas with a wide brim to keep the glare off your face and a low crown for a look that says French Riviera chic! Put a thin rhinestone hat band around it to add some sparkle to your look, and you will be the coolest in the crowd.
Sneakers – Remember all those times we told you not to wear sneakers? We will make an exception to that rule for summer by the pool! But please, no brand logos!
