I’m a licorice lover. I enjoy the classics but really ENJOY unique flavor combinations. When it comes to licorice I won’t eat any that has artificial flavoring and it has to be soft & chewy. I don’t like it hard as a rock. For this review my family received several bags and flavors to try out for all of you.

One of the things I immediately liked was how the Wiley Wallaby gourmet licorice is packaged. It comes in 10 oz. resealable bags. That helps to keep it nice and fresh…in between snacking. Next, as soon as you un-seal a bag you get a good whiff of the flavor. It smells like and tastes EXACTLY like the name on the bag. The pieces are the perfect snacking size! You’ll notice that they’re soft and squeezable, the perfect chewy consistency.
Over the past 2 weeks my family tried out all 5 of the above flavors. All were delicious and I mean ALL of them! My personal favorite was the Watermelon. My wife loved the Blueberry Pomegranate, my mother-in-law ran off with the Classic Red and my 2 grandchildren were all over the Green Apple and Huckleberry. There wasn’t a bad flavor in the bunch!
We had received 2 of the minis bags: one in Classic Red and one in Watermelon. My grandchildren took those in their backpacks to school. Great sizes for lunch boxes, backpacks, snack drawer at work, travel bags, etc. Oh let me mention this…if you’re looking for a great holiday Christmas Stocking Stuffer you’ll want to pick up several of the Wiley Wallaby Soft & Chewy Minis Gourmet Licorice. The Wiley Wallaby Sourrageous Drops are sour flavored licorice with a candy shell. The inside is the classic red licorice flavor while the outside features a sour candy shell. Even though they have a candy shell wrapped around them…they’re still soft and chewy. The 3 sour candy shell flavors in this bag were: green apple, watermelon and lemon. My 2 grandchildren went absolute CRAZY for these! I was able to sneak a little taste and I have to admit…they were good too! My granddaughter loved the green apple while my grandson loved the watermelon. The lemon was okay…but not one of their favorite flavors.
