The Briarpatch Scholastic I Spy Flip & Find Travel Card Game is for ages 4 and up, 2 to 4 players. The game comes with a travel storage tin case, 62 I SPY Cards, Match Pad and an instructions sheet. Travel games are perfect for those long flights, train rides, hotel rooms, sleepovers at the grandparent’s house, etc. It’s very compact and light-weight. The playing cards are round in shape and about 3″ in diameter.

Object of the Game: Flip the cards to find a pair, shout “Match” out loud into the air. Players take turns finding the matched pairs until all of them are found. The player who found the most…is the winner! The game is designed for fast-paced action to help kids with their memory skills, hand-to-eye coordination, visual perception, fine motor skills, socializing with others, good gamemanship, etc.
My 2 kids (ages 8 and 15) sat down with my 2 nephews (ages 4 and 7) to play the game. The 15 year old read off the instructions to the kids and explained to them how to play the game along with the rules. Once they had a little practice run…they got busy playing the game. The 4 year old needed assistance from time to time but the 7, 8 and 15 year olds needed no adult or older child assistance at all.
The game’s concept is simple…find 2 matching items on the cards and claim the point. What’s really nice about the game is that it’s fast-paced. It took the kids 10-18 minutes to play each game…so it’s not one of those games that takes an hour or two that totally loses a child’s attention. This game definitely kept the kids focused on the task at hand. They enjoyed themselves with a lot of laughing and teasing one another.
