Pete the Cat Bedtime Blues is a simple-to-learn game where kids act out bedtime activities and put their Pete the Cats to bed. But be careful, they might jump off the bed at any time!
Last weekend my 2 nephews stayed overnight at our home to have a sleepover with my son. All three boys are ages 4 to 8 years of age. We sat down one evening and explained to the boys how to play the game. My 15 year old daughter played along with the 3 boys to help assist. It only took 5 minutes for the kids to fully understand how to play the game. Yes, it’s that easy which makes it perfect for young kids at this age.
As a parent I appreciate that this game doesn’t take an hour or more to play. Everything that you need to play it is included in the box. The boys had a really great time playing it. They laughed and teased one another…all in great fun! The playing pieces are perfectly sized for their smaller hands. The game concept is right at their specific age level. It’s important to provide our kids with card and board games so that they learn important social skills. In our household, we prefer classic games vs. video games.
Every time your kids play this game it’s a different experience. It’s never the same game twice. That helps to keep children engaged and wanting to play it. I think it’s a nice game to take with you when traveling or for sleepovers at Grandma’s house. Need a gift for that young child in your life? It’s a great game for that too!
