Watermelon and Strawberry Fruit Smoothie Recipe

August 27, 2024 by Classystaff

Watermelon and Strawberry Fruit Smoothie RecipeWatermelon is finally in-season here in the northeast. This year my backyard garden produced several nice watermelons for my family to enjoy. This fruit smoothie recipe uses just a handful of ingredients and tastes delicious! Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack. Perfect for a hot summer day when you want something ice cold to drink.

When it comes to hulling fresh strawberries I like to use my Joie Strawberry Huller tool. It’s easy and fast to use! If you don’t have any honey on-hand you can substitute with 1 tsp. of granulated sugar. Bump up the nutritional value and health benefits by using Manuka Honey. We like to serve our fruit smoothies in chilled glasses. If you’re the same…place glass in the freezer for 30-60 minutes before pouring the fruit smoothie into it.

Watermelon and Strawberry Fruit Smoothie Recipe

1 cup fresh or frozen watermelon (seeds removed)
1/2 cup fresh hulled or frozen strawberries
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1 tsp. honey
1/2 cup cold milk

Optional: Extra hulled fresh strawberries to garnish the glass.

Place all of the above listed ingredients into a blender container. Blend until creamy. Pour into glasses. Serve immediately. Optional – Garnish the glass with 2 fresh whole strawberries or rim the glass with 4 strawberry halves.
