My Little Wimmelbook – A Day at the Zoo

My Little Wimmelbook - A Day at the ZooMy Little WimmelBook are the perfect introduction to books for a young child. My nephew is almost 3 years old and loves them. They’re board books so they will hold up to the wear and tear a young child will put them through. They’re colorful books that let kid’s be the storyteller. They’re one of my favorite line of toddler-aged books!

** Complimentary book received.

My Little WimmelBook has a new book release called A Day At The Zoo by Carolin Gortler. It’s for children ages 2 to 5 years of age. The bustling illustrations in A Day At The Zoo invite kids to imagine what’s happening by the wildcat enclosure, around the monkey house, and at other fun animal exhibits. Little ones have a blast pointing out recognizable things and older kids can follow the star characters from page to page – and tell their unfolding stories!

Title: A Day At The Zoo
ISBN: 978-1-891011-40-5
By: My Little WimmelBook
Publisher: The Experiment, New York
Format: Board Book with 14 Pages

One of the things I really like about this book is that there is no story, no wordage on the pages. Each page is jam-packed with colorful illustrations depicting scenes from a zoo. This allows a child to point to various objects on the page, to ask questions and to come up with their own unique story every time they open up the book.

My Little Wimmelbook - A Day at the Zoo

This particular book is great for teaching a child all about the various animals they would see at a zoo, people who are visiting or working at the zoo and their surroundings. You’ll see all different nationalities of people featured in the book, so it will appeal to every child & family. I think it would be great to help teach early math skills by having the child count how many monkeys there are…how many giraffees they see and so forth. It can be used several different ways.

If you’re looking for a birthday gift, Christmas holiday gift or even a baby shower gift…the My Little WimmelBook series is definitely the way to go! You’ll find various titles available plus they’re affordable! A great way to start a young child’s library of books!
