During the summertime my family enjoys eating a lot of baked beans. They’re the perfect side dish to serve at a family get-together, a backyard barbecue, tailgating party…or whatever. When I make them I follow the Baked Beans Slow Cooker Recipe over on the McCormick’s website. You can find their recipe and instructions HERE.
Well, last month I followed their recipe using all of the listed ingredients as usual…except I didn’t toss everything into my slow cooker. This time around we decided to slow cook them in our new smoker. So, I assembled all of the listed ingredients in a large cast iron baking cooking pan. Not sure the exact name of it.
Once assembled we placed the entire thing into our smoker and slow cooked for 90 minutes. Wow…what a difference! McCormick’s Baked Beans Recipe is great and we love it but doing them in the smoker made them even better! Seriously, BETTER!!! So, if you have a smoker…give it a try!
