Lunch Date to the Olive Garden

Olive Garden - BarTwice a month I try to take my wife out on a lunch or dinner date. It’s a great way for us to communicate with one another and to keep our stress levels down. All parents and adult couples need to take time out to enjoy one another’s company. We all lead busy lives…but we can ALL find 1 hour every 2-3 weeks to give our partner our undivided attention. It’s important that you set aside this time on a regular basis.

Last week I took my wife out for a late lunch to the local Olive Garden. It was a Friday afternoon and they were quite busy. One thing we learned over the years is that we don’t have to sit and wait for a table if we request bar seating. If they have open seating at the bar…take it…it saves you from waiting! As usual…we opted for the bar and were seated immediately.

Olive Garden Soup and Salad with Breadsticks

We dine out a few times a month so we try to keep our costs down. We enjoy going to the Olive Garden for their all-you-can-eat soup, salad and breadsticks…so that’s what we get! My wife will tend to stick to just one type of soup. I like to try 2-3 bowls of different soups. Their homemade soups are delicious so make sure you try them all! To go along with our meal she had Peach Raspberry Iced Tea and I did elect to enjoy an adult beverage from the bar.

At this particular Olive Garden the bar area is sectioned off all to itself. It is typically a more quieter area with bar seat and a few tables within that area. We had 2 gals waiting on us so our meals and refills were always taken care of quickly. Cozy and an intimate setting. We prefer it compared to being seated in a large dining room with hundreds of people around us. Give it a try the next time you’re there!
