I suffer with a lot of aches and pains. That includes back, knee and hip pains. Along with the recommended physical therapy, I use a dry heating pad to help relieve it. When it comes to using one you do need to be careful. You don’t want to get one that over-heats or doesn’t have an auto-shutoff. It needs to be easy-to-use and big enough to cover the area that you’re using it on.

My 3-year old heating pad bit the dust 8 weeks ago, so I purchased a new Large Heating Pad for Moist and Dry Heat Therapy and love it. It’s the perfect size and guess what? It only takes 20 seconds to heat up! Wow, that’s fast! When you’re in pain…you want relief fast. It also has a 2 hour auto-shutoff which is a fantastic safety feature.
The cover is made out of a super-soft plush microfiber which feels great against your skin. For cleaning, you simply disconnect it from the power cord and toss it into your washing machine on the gentle cycle. I hang it up to air dry. You don’t want to use bleach or fabric softeners. I use a mild & gentle laundry detergent when I’m laundering it.
Let’s talk about ease of use. There’s ONLY 3 buttons: Low, Medium and High. Press the desired heat. If you want to shut it off before the 2 hour auto-shutoff you simple press any of the 3 buttons for a few seconds which turns it off. Easy peasy! It’s flexible, so you can wrap the heating pad around your thigh, hip, knee, shoulders, etc. Wherever you need it. Another thing I like is that it’s not heavy. I travel, so I need a light-weight pad to travel along with me.
Where did I get it? I purchased the Large Heating Pad for Moist and Dry Heat Therapy from Amazon. If you have Prime, it will ship for free. Mine arrived within 2 business days from the time I ordered it. Gotta love that fast to your front door service.
