We took a weekend getaway down to Atlantic City in New Jersey. It’s a nice little getaway for those who live in the Mid-Atlantic states. It takes us about 4 hours to get there by car. We like to visit Atlantic City once a year during the off-season before all of the summer tourists arrives. Typically we’ll go in October or November or in April or May. Beautiful times of the year to visit.
Anyway, We were strolling up and down the boardwalk one day and stumbled upon these cool 9-11 Tribute Memorial Statues. They’re on the boardwalk and hard to miss, so I’m not sure why we didn’t see them before. A lot of people think that it was mostly New Yorkers that died that fateful day. Truth be told…there were people from outside of New York that died too…many were residents of New Jersey.
When we travel we seek out 9-11 memorials. A lot of small towns and big cities across the United States have their own memorials to remember those who lost their lives on September 11th. It’s a really nice memorial, so if you’re going to be in Atlantic City stop by to see it.
