Delicious Whole Roasted Turkey Seasoning Rub

March 26, 2024 by Sam H.

Delicious Whole Roasted Turkey Seasoning RubThree to Four times a year we roast a whole turkey. Typically, it’s at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. With that said, we will sometimes roast a whole turkey in the summertime if we’re hosting some type of family event. Turkey can often be dry and bland. I like the poultry meat to be moist and jam-packed full with flavor.

Last month I purchased a bottle of Mad Max Turkey Seasoning from Amazon. It’s a large 6.2 oz. bottle, so it will last you a long time. Even though it’s made for turkey…you can use it on chicken, roasted veggies, etc. too. Dizzy Pig seasonings are 100% natural, gluten-free and MSG free. Made in the good old U.S.A.

How did I use it? Well, I’m going to tell you. I purchased the shaker bottle so I simply coated the outside of the turkey with the seasoning. I put gloves on and rubbed it into the meat good. I then sprikled about a tablespoon full of the turkey seasoning inside the cavity of the bird. If you like a lot of flavor…be generous with the amount of seasoning that you’re using.

I roasted the bird in our oven for the recommended time or until the pop-up timer released. I always double-check the internal temperature of the bird with a meat thermometer to make sure I’m at the perfect roasting temperature. Then remove it from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before you start carving it up.

In my honest opinion, this is the BEST turkey seasoning rub that I’ve personally tried. Hence why I’m telling all of you about it. Next month I’m going to use it again on some turkey wings that I purchased on sale from the local butcher. I’m sure it will be just as good then as it was now. Where can you get it? I purchased the Dizzy Pig Max Max Turkey Seasoning from Amazon.
