Easy Strawberry Shortcake Biscuits Recipe

February 29, 2024 by Carol

Strawberry Shortcake can be made and served with sponge cake or biscuits. My family enjoys it served either way. When I make Strawberry Shortcakes Biscuits I like to use the Original Bisquick baking mix which saves me a lot of time. You can find the recipes on the package or below. It will yield 6 large shortcakes or 12 smaller ones.

Strawberry Shortcakes Recipe

4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 1/3 cups Original Bisquick Mix
2/3 cup milk
3 Tbsp. granulated sugar
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Mix the strawberries and 1/2 cup granulated sugar, set aside.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

In a mixing bowl stir together the Bisquick Mix, milk, 3 Tbsp. granulated sugar and the melted butter until a soft dough forms. Drop by 6 spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake in a preheated 425 degrees F oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Split shortcakes, fill and top with strawberries and whipped topping. Serve immediately.
