Dolphin Watching in North Wildwood

Dolphin Watching in North WildwoodDolphins…it’s always a treat when you see them when visiting the Jersey Shore. A lot of people think you have to get on a charter boat or tour boat to see them…but that’s not true. We see them often when we’re in North Wildwood, New Jersey just by standing on the North Wildwood Seawall or sitting on the beach.

In my honest opinion the best place to see them if you’re on land is up behind the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse and at the corner of the NWW Seawall. Sitting in the gazebo in front of the Aloha Oceanfront Motel is another great place for seeing them while staying on land.

Certain times of the day are better than others. We often see them mid-morning or during the evening. Rain or shine we see them! The photo in my post was taken with me standing on the beach during high tide around 5pm in the evening. It was taken with my cellphone. So…indeed you can get good views of them when they’re passing by.
