My children ages 8 year to 14 years love to play games. All kinds of games! They will sit together several times a week to play cards, board games, puzzles, memory games, etc. The classic games are so much better for learning, bonding and fun compared to video games. Don’t get me wrong, they play video games from time to time but they love the classics!

Scavenger Hunt for Kids by Briarpatch and from University Games is an amazing indoor search game. It’s for ages 8 and up, 2 or more players. The game comes packaged in a reusable metal tin. This type of game is great to play at home and/or while traveling. It’s small, compact and light-weight to transport around.
It’s a classic game for kids to search and find items. To play, turn over 5 cards and in 2 minutes, search the house for all sorts of fun stuff. Find a funny hat, a purple shirt, something round, an object that begins with a vowel, or an object that begins with the letter B. Players get points for the stuff they find and for putting it back in place. It’s fun for the entire family to play.
Game Includes: Reusable Storage Tin, 100+ Cards, Magnifying Glass and Instructions.
Classic search and find games are great to get kids up off the couch and moving around. All physical activity is good for the body. The game is fun to play but more importantly it’s educational too! My 8 year old has been learning about vowels, how to spot items that begin with a certain letter, how to do things quickly, how to read (the cards), and good sportsmanship when he loses. All great things that children need to learn.
