My children ages 8 year to 14 years love to play games. All kinds of games! They will sit together several times a week to play cards, board games, puzzles, memory games, etc. The classic games are so much better for learning, bonding and fun compared to video games. Don’t get me wrong, they play video games from time to time but they love the classics!

I Spy Dig In Find-It Game by Briarpatch and from University Games will be a big hit at your next family game night. This fast-paced game is for ages 5 and up, for 2-4 players. This is an educational and fun game that helps to teach kids literacy, coordination and social skills.
Includes: 128 I Spy Objects, Dig-In Bowl, 12 Double-Sided Dig In Cards, Sand Timer and Instructions.
There are red, green, blue and yellow plastic I Spy Objects pieces…like guitars, dogs, ice cream sundaes, trees, birds, bananas, shoes, cats, frogs, fish, igloo, penguin, bicycle, etc. Those pieces are placed into the Dig-In Bowl. Each player draws a card from the deck and then races against the clock to dig out all 6 objects shown on their card. The player who does it the fastest and gets them all correct wins the round or game.
This game really holds your attention. It’s fast-paced and can be played quickly. Perfect for a household that has multi-aged children, nice for the entire family to play together. If your family is traveling, it’s light-weight and can be taken along with you. Always plan ahead for those rainy days while on vacation by bringing along a few games!
One of the great things about this game is that once an adult explains to the kids on how to play (or shows them)…a group of kids can certainly play it without the assistance from an adult. Last weekend my 8 year old son, 6 year old nephew, 14 year old daughter and 10 year old niece all sat down to play it. The 4 kids enjoyed it and played it for over an hour. They keep track of who won each round and the person who reached 5 rounds first was the winner. You can easily alter that to suit your own needs.
