The summer of 2023 will be known arond here as the year of the bugs! Seriously, we were hammered with mosquitos, house flies, fruit flies, stink bugs, gnats, all kinds of other flying insects. We had tried chemical sprays, non-toxic sprays, various traps and zappers…and all kinds of other things. While they helped a little bit, none were taking care of the problem 24/7 in our home.

Back in late July I got fed up with it and purchased 2 of the Zevo Flying Insect Traps. These traps run on electricity, so you’ll have to plug them in. They’re made to trap houseflies, fruit flies, and gnats. A HUGE problem for us the past few months.
How do they work? Well, you purchase (and the initial unit comes with one) a sticky-back adhesive sheet. It slides into the back of the unit. There’s a blue UV light that attracts the flying insects to the unit. They then get “stuck” on that adhesive sheet and die. It runs on a little bit of electricity to power the blue UV light which also acts as a night light at night.
When the adhesive sheet is full of dead bugs…pull on the tab to remove it and replace it with a new sticky sheet. Toss the old one away. Yes, it’s that easy. There’s no odor, no mess, nothing complicated at all. It’s seriously the BEST thing I’ve ever used to get all of those nasty flying insects out of here! Just plug it in and go about your day. It works quickly and effectively.
You can buy them from various retail stores across the nation and buy them online. We love them so much that we now have 3 throughout our home. Quit wasting your money on sprays, traps and hanging fly tapes. They simply don’t get the job done!

My summer was not as bad as yours. However, thanks for the idea and perhpas I shall use it next year.
This would be perfect for us! We live on a farm and the flies are terrible in the warmer months. I will need to check into this.
Sounds like these really worked for you. My senior building has a exterminator come in to our building the first tuesday of ever month. They spray ever apartment and all common areas.. I don’t get any bugs flying or crawling
I would to have one of these for the summer months. That is a great price on Amazon too thanks for sharing this one.
