Do you practice recycling in your home? I know in a lot of places it’s the law to do recycling. However, we all know that millions of people still don’t do it. If you do recycle things…how diligent are you with getting things in the recycle bin? What about cleaning out no longer wanted items and donating them to centers like the Salvation Army or Goodwill?

My family has been on the recycling and upcycling bandwagon for several years. We’ve been doing it for so long that it’s a habit. As a family we donate our time a few times a year to go out and clean-up the environment around us. We have a lot of neighborhood and local parks that put volunteer groups together to go out and clean up the parks.

Comments

  1. We also recycle when ever we can. That is so wonderful that you volunteer for local clean up. I also like the quote of the week.

  2. We are fortunate that we can recycle through our city garbage pickup. We even do food which goes into our yard clippings, and it has reduced our actual garbage significantly.

I do practice recycling in my home. I have things put aide to donate, but have not yet done it!!.

There is not a lot of places availble for recycle. Our building does collect glass and someone picks that up. I deal more with a group called the Ranch they will come to you and pick up your donations. They have a Thrift store businness that supports their school.

  5. We try to recycle but there are not convenient places to drop thing off.
