Dollar Tree Stacked Foam Pumpkins Craft Project

October 21, 2023 by Shelly

Looking for an easy and affordable craft project for the Autumn and/or Halloween season? If so, head on over to your local Dollar Tree to pick up the supplies to make this adorable Stacked Foam Pumpkins fall decoration. Complete how-to’s on how to make it are below. I made it in one afternoon and it cost about $5.00 to make! Majority of craft supplies came from Dollar Tree.

Dollar Tree Stacked Foam Pumpkins

3 Foam Pumpkins (Dollar Tree)
1 Faux Berries Pick (Dollar Tree)
Jute (from my scrap box)
Mini Sunflower (from my scrap box)
Hot Glue and Glue Gun
Acrylic Craft Paints
Paint Brush

Paint the foam pumpkins in your desired colors using acrylic craft paint. I used two coats of paint on each pumpkin with 1 hour of drying time between coats. I decorate in a beach coastal cottage farmhouse theme, so I painted one in turquoise, one in peach, and one in a vanilla color.

Use a butter knife and hollow out a small spot on the bottom of the middle and top pumpkins. You will need it large enough to fit the stem. Glue them together using hot glue or Gorilla Glue. I covered the top stem with a scrap piece of jute (or rope) using hot glue.

From Dollar Tree I picked up the dark plum colored faux berries pick. I used wire cutters and cut off two clusters of faux berries and glued them onto the top pumpkin. To add a little pop of traditional Autumn color I added the mini sunflower from my scrap box using hot glue.

I love it. Why? It’s in my colors, it’s clean and simple (I don’t like overly done decorations) and it cost me less than $5.00 to make! Yay!
