Philadelphia Eagles Charcuterie Board with Appetizer Ideas

We’re HUGE Philadelphia Eagles football fans and enjoy watching them play. During game day we invite a few of our friends over to our home to watch the team on our big screen. When the gang is coming over I like to prepare a few hot foods in my slow cooker and 1-2 Charcuterie Boards loaded with grab-n-go appetizers. Of course, I try to keep it Eagles themed!

Here’s one that I did last year to give you a few ideas on how you can put one together. Everything was available and purchased from my local grocery store.

Philadelphia Eagles Charcuterie Board with Appetizer Ideas

2-3 Type’s of Crackers
3-4 Type’s of Cheese
3-4 Type’s of Meats
1-2 Chocolates
2-4 Cups of Nuts

Chocolates – Dark Chocolate with Mint Squares and Green and White Chocolate Covered Pretzels.
Meats – Turkey & Beef Rolled Together, Pepperoni and Summer Sausage Slices.
Cheeses – Colby Jack, American and Garlic Herb Cheeses.
Nuts – Honey Roasted Peanuts
Crackers – Townhouse and Club Crackers are great!

You’ll need a wood Charcuterie Board and a few little Ramekins or Dip Cups to help keep things organized.  I like to prepare my appetizers 1-2 hours before putting them out. I also prepare extra which I keep pre-sliced and pre-sorted in the refrigerator. As things need to be replenished I can grab them and get it done quickly. You never want to hold things up by standing there and slicing up more food. Always make sure you have it prepared ahead of time.

If you have any leftovers (we rarely do) you need to refrigerate them. You should never let meat and cheeses sit out at room tempeprature for hours upon hours. I do 60-90 minutes, depending on the temperatures. If needed, I place things back into the refrigerator until the gang is ready for more. If you’re storing them for more than 2 hours in the refrigerator I recommend separating things out. You don’t want all of the flavors meshing together. I separate and store in my airtight food storage containers.
