For the past 2 years I’ve been purchasing my magnets from Amazon instead of at the local craft store. Why you might ask? Well, I’m going to tell you.
1. The quality. The ones that I find at my local craft supply stores aren’t heavy duty. They don’t hold up heavier things on my refrigerator and I find it annoying when magnets slide up and down when I’m opening the door.
2. Price. The prices they charge at my local stores for the yuckiest magnets is ridiculous! I want high-qaulity craft supplies at an affordable price!
So, where do I buy them? I purchase them from Amazon and for the past 2 1/2 years I purchase Artooo 60 piece magnet set that comes in a metal storage tin. They’re small round disks but very strong! I use them any time I want a strong bond or using a weightier item to make refrigerator magnets. These magnets hold in place!
When using them I do recommend that you use a stronger adhesive or glue when attaching them to your item. I recommend Gorilla Glue or E6000. When you use hot glue…it’s not strong enough and often time I find the magnet stuck to the refrigerator while the item has pulled off of it and on the floor. Make sure you use a higher quality glue or adhesive when working with them.
