My family enjoys spending a lot of time outside during the spring, summer and fall seasons. We get together a few times a month for a backyard barbecue, swimming and to play fun outdoor games. We’re huge fans of bocce ball, croquet, mini golf, cornhole, ring toss, horseshoes, etc. Now…we have Ladder Ball to add to our game collection.

Pro Steel Ladder Ball is America’s favorite Bola game. It’s for ages 8 and up and for 2-4 players (2 players or 2 teams each made up of 2 players). It’s from University Games and everything that you need to play it comes in the box. There’s nothing extra for you to buy. They game is easy-to-assemble and it’s portable. You can take it with you camping, traveling, over to grandma’s house or to that next barbecue picnic that you’re attending.
Objective: Be the first player or team to score 21 points. Points are scored by wrapping or landing Bolas on any of the three colored crossbars.
Point Values:
Blue Bar = 3 Points
Red Bar = 2 Points
White Bar = 1 Point
The black bar has no point value.
Classic Game Play: Players take turns throwing their three Bolas alternatvely with the other player/team. Once all Bolas have been tossed, each player/team adds up the total points scored for that round. If your Bola was knocked off by your opponent, those points are lost. The player/team with the highest score for that round subtracts the other player/team’s score from their own and this becomes their new score. The other player/team gets no points. With each round, scores are added until one player/team reaches 21 and wins.
We had a bunch of family and friends over to our home for Memorial Day. We got out the Pro Steel Ladder Ball and it was the MOST fun we’ve had in awhile! It was everyone’s favorite yard game to play that day!!! The kids, teens, adults and even the seniors were up playing Ladder Ball. It’s fun to play and each game moves along fairly quickly. It’s not one of those games that takes ALL DAY to play!!!
Pro Steel Ladder Ball is my family’s new favorite outdoor game to play. Everyone who has played it has enjoyed it. Highly recommend you pick one up for your own family or next family get-together from University Games.
Giveaway: One lucky winner is going to win Pro Steel Ladder Ball from University Games. Good Luck!!!
