If you’ve been reading this blog for the past 13 years you’ll already know that I’m passionate about crafting. I absolutely LOVE to sit down and make things for our home and to give as gifts. Crafting allows me to be creative but it has health benefits too! It helps to relieve stress & anxiety, allows me to relax and that in turn reduces my blood pressure. Hobbies are great for your health!
Last month I hit one of my favorite craft supply stores to pick up some things that I needed. While there…I scoped out all of their clearance items and picked up several things at bargain basement prices!!! I love saving money!!!
I got the beach seashore themed stencil on clearance for .99 cents. The set of 2 wood picket fences were marked down to $1.27 for the 2-pack. The wood arrows with hanging ribbon were marked down to .99 cents each so I picked up four of those. They had a slew of sticker packs and decals on clearance and picked up 9 packs of those in various designs for .72 cents a package (forgot to take a photo of all of those).
They didn’t have much left from Valentine’s Day or St. Patrick’s Day but I did find a heart garland and a window decoration for Valentine’s Day marked down to .99 cents each. I packed those away with all of my Valentine’s Day decorations as soon as I got home. I love picking up holiday and seasonal items AFTER it has passed because you can get some great deals that way. Plus, I have a lot of storage space!
Did you go out and find any bargains or deals lately? If so, what did you get and where did you find it?
I have shopped the after-Holiday sales for many years and gotten some great bargains, but I have to say that this year was disappointing. Not as much and less of a markdown. Looks like you did well with your craft items.
I got some things from my craft store. I got my sister a rotary blade for .99 and several things that I can’t think of. I immediately used them because there are no leftover bags so I must have needed them. I found my husband a new compartment storage box at the thrift store. He loved that.
