The 80’s was the best decade for heavy metal and rock ‘n roll music, at least in my honest opinion. I was an older teenager/young adult during the decade and enjoyed going out to see my favorite rock bands perform. One of my favorite bands is Poison and I still listen to their music on a regular basis.
Bret Michaels is the lead singer for Poison and guess what? He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania. Poison was BIG around here and locals couldn’t get enough. They frequently had sold out shows and tickets were often hard to come by. With that said, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them perform at least a dozen times over the years.
Last year I got out to see them perform again in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The show was fantastic from start to finish. I don’t know where they get all of their energy at this age! The show was just as fantastic as any of their shows from the 1980’s and 90’s. People were singing and dancing the entire time. He knows how to get a crowd moving!
I’m looking forward to HOPEFULLY seeing Poison in concert again soon.
