Chocolate chips cookies are my first choice when it comes to cookies. I like them soft & chewy with an abundance of chocolate chips, especially Hershey’s Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips! While standard size chips are good…minis ensure that you get a whole lot of chocolate goodness in every little bite!
When I make them from scratch I use the classic Hershey’s Perfect Mini Chips Cookies Recipe. I got the recipe right off the back of the bag and have been using it ever since. It will make approximately 5 dozen of cookies. Prep time is about 25 minutes. If you’re like me…make a double batch of cookies and freeze the second batch for later. They freeze well.
Hershey’s Perfect Mini Chips Cookies Recipe
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 medium eggs
2 cups Hershey’s Mini Chips Semi-Sweet Chocolate
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda and salt. In another large mixing bowl beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy with an electric mixer. Add in the eggs, beat well.
Gradually add the flour mixture into the bowl, beaten after each addition. Stir in by hand the semi-sweet chocolate chips until they’re distributed throughout the cookie batter.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until done. Remove from baking sheet to cool on a wire rack. Cool completely and then store in an airtight container.
