Fun and Easy Ways to Use a Water Brush Pen Set

Water Brush Pen SetFor the past 12+ years we’ve published hundreds of different art and craft projects on the Two Classy Chics blog. Over the years many of our readers have asked us about specific supplies and items that we use. Today, I thought I would share with you information on the Water Brush Pen Set that I use along with ways you can use it!

First…let’s talk about the product. You will find a ton of different Water Brush Pen Sets out in the retail marketplace. They range in prices and quality. I don’t use my set for “professional artwork”, so investing in this inexpensive set was PERFECT for my needs.

Water Brush Pen Set

I use the YUNYINFENG Water Brush Pen Set that I purchased a few months ago from Amazon. The set includes 6 water brush pens. Three have a point tip and three have a brush tip with each being in a different size. Included in the set are sizes: 01, 02, 03, 04, 07 and 10. They come in a little storage case to keep them organized.

How to use: You simply unscrew the barrel and fill with tap water. You don’t want to over-fill them which will cause leaking. I fill the barrel 80% full with water. When you’re ready to dispense the water you simply squeeze the water chamber (barrel) gently and it will move down and dispense through the brush tip. EASY to USE!!!

They can be used with water-soluable paints, powdered paints, and inks. You can even use them when decorating your Easter Eggs with food dyes! One of the ways I like to use the 01 and 02 sized water brush pens is when I decopauge using paper napkins. Yes, paper napkins!

When decopauging I hate the look of straight, flat edges that you get when cutting out an image with scissors. I use a water brush pen around the edges of the design printed on the paper napkin.  Add a light line of water around the image and then gently pull the paper away from it. You’ll get a nice “feathered” edge. Let dry and then decopauge that paper napkin image onto your project. You’ll love how the outline looks…totally blends in!

My grandchilden love to sit down and use water paints when they’re in an artistic mood. You can pick up inexpensive canvas boards and water paints at your local Dollar Tree and Dollar General Stores. These water brush paint pens allow them to blend colors seamlessly. You get a true watercolor effect when using them. Perfect for kids, teens, adults, and/or seniors to use.

Painting Easter Eggs? You bet! Fill the water chamber 75% full with water. Add 1-2 tiny drops of food coloring. Place the cap back on. Give the pen a shake to mix things up. Now they can use the water brush pens to directly paint designs onto their hard-boiled Easter Eggs! You can really get creative with the designs. Decorating faux eggs just to use as Easter decorations? If so…highly recommend that you try using a set of Water Brush Pens with some acrylic paints.
