Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans

I’m a coffee lover and drink at least 2 if not 3 cups a day. Not only do I drink it, but I enjoy coffee flavored desserts and baked goods too. When it comes to coffee, I’m a snob. I won’t touch any that tastes bitter or leaves an after-taste. I like a medium flavor that can be enjoyed anytime throughout the day.

Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans

We try to keep a bag of chocolate espresso beans in our pantry as a staple ingredient in other recipes. Sure, you can snack on them if you choose but we prefer crushing them and using them in various recipes. Heck, you can crush them and toss in your favorite cup of hot coffee, tea, or cocoa. A few of my favorite things are chocolate espresso flavored ice cream, bread, muffins, and cookies. YUM!

One of my favorite brands is Surrounds Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans which are artisanally crafted from fresh roasted espresso beans and then surrounded by rich dark chocolate. I buy them in a 6 oz. resealable bag. They’re manufactured by Biscomerica Corp. based out of California. You can find many different brands out in the retail marketplace and Amazon is a great source for finding them too.

In the coming weeks my wife is going to share her recipe for homemade Dark Chocolate Espresso Bean cookies on the blog (stay tuned for that)…as they’re delicious and easy to make. They’re perfect for the cookie lover who’s tired of the traditional chocolate chip and sugar cookies.

Do you enjoy snacking on or using chocolate covered espresso beans in any of your recipes? I would love to hear some additional ideas on how you can use them.

  1. I don’t eat these but would be interested in learning how to use them in recipes. I bet the cookies are delicious with the chocolate and coffee combination.
