Plastic lids from potato chip canisters like Pringles and Lays Stax work well for this project. You need to buy commerical strength, heavy-duty magnets…so that they will stay up on a metal surface like your refrigerator, freezer, work locker, school locker, file cabinet, etc.

Plastic Potato Chip Canister Lid
Scissors
All-Purpose, Quick-Drying Craft Glue
Yellow and Black Craft Felt
Wiggle Eyes
Pencil
Magnet or Magnets

Place the lid down on a sheet of yellow craft felt. Use a pencil to trace around it and then scissors to cut out the perfect fitting circle. Repeat the process to cut out a circle from black felt. Squirt craft glue on top of the lid and adhere the yellow circle on top…pressing gently on it to smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles.

Referring to the photo you’ll cut out 3 thin arc-shaped stripes from the black felt circle and an almond shaped head. Glue those pieces on top as shown in the photograph. Then add the 2 wiggle eyes with a dab of glue.

Finishing up: You need to use a heavy-duty magnet or magnets on the back side by gluing them into place. You want your bumble bees to stay up firmly in place on a metal surface. Let everything dry for 4-6 hours before using them.
