I’m so glad that the hustle and bustle from the holidays is over. Just yesterday my kids said…they were bored. Hey, music to my ears since we ran non-stop throughout the holiday season. It’s nice to have some downtime and boredom time right now. To get them busy I got out a large tote of arts and crafts supplies that I keep on hand for times like this. My 13 year old daughter is working on a painting (paint by numbers) and my 7 1/2 year old son is construction a wood house and then will paint it (a craft kit on clearance from Wallmart). When I’m out shopping I always look for craft kits and art supplies on deep clearance which I pick up and toss into that bin. A great way to entertain them for sure!
I am interested in all the craft items this week. I want to see which would interest my grandchjildren.
My great niece is 6 and she has been crafting with me since she was 2. She loves going through my baskets and seeing was is new. I am always picking up stuff on mark down or that have really cheap prices. I have found that several things I have she loves to work with so of course I buy some extra for her to take home.
I have a box of supplies and games that I keep for my grandkids. Like you, I am always on the lookout for some bargains and discounts. I found some good ones at Michaels after the holidays. Looking forward to this week post.
