Coastal and beach themed Christmas decorations can be on the pricey side. Not only do they traditional cost a lot…they can be hard to find depending on your location. Even if you find something in your price range…it most likely isn’t the color or style that you want.
I had been looking at getting new Beach Coastal Christmas Stockings for the past 4 years but refused to pay $50.00 each. Sorry, I’m on the frugal side. On top of that, none of them were exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t want something too showy, gaudy or in weird color schemes. I solved my problem by making my own and I did so for less than $20.00 each!
The first thing that I needed was the Christmas Stocking. I went with off-white colored ones that look like they were made from a cable knit sweater. They have a wooden button, hanging loop and two pom-poms. The perfect canvas to make my own!
Since I wanted something simple, but yet classic looking I opted to decorate them with 2 Starfish. I used a large white one and a smaller seaglass colored one. I simply glued the two together as you see in the photograph. Once they were done drying, I glued those onto the cuff of each stocking using Gorilla Glue. I don’t like using hot glue because things fall off in record time and I wanted them to be permanently glued!
Classic and simple was the look I was going for and I achieved it. If you wanted something fancier you could add more seashells, different colored shells, ribbons, faux pearls, rhinestones, glitter, sequins, etc. That wasn’t what I was going for…but it’s an option for your to consider.
These 3 beautiful new Christmas Stockings will be fabulous hanging up this year among all of my Coastal Christmas decor. By Christmas morning…Santa will have them filled to the brim! Happy Holidays everyone!

If my home had a coastal them like yours these would be perfect for it. I have the traditional red and /or green stockings.
