Plantable Pencils that Turn into Flowers, Herbs, Vegetables, and Trees

Sprout World’s pencils are available with 10 different seeds that grow into vegetables, flowers and herbs. And now the Sprout pencil can also turn into a tree. Thus, the circle is complete: trees become pencils, which can then grow into spruce trees. Evergreen conifers that absorb CO2 and give us oxygen as they grow.

Recently the company launched an innovative beauty product — the world’s first plantable eye and brow liner! These are the only liners in the world with a capsule at the end with seeds so it can be planted after use and grown into wildflowers. The patented liner is AC-tested (allergy-friendly), with a natural formula, free of microplastics, and is added with natural oils that are good for the skin.

All Sprout pencils are 100% sustainable, non-toxic, and non-GMO. Store pencils at room temperature for a max of 1 year before planting the pencils. All are a patented design.

We’ve love gardening (floral, veggie, and herb) so this product is genius! Here’s what we received.

5 Pencils that produce a Spruce Tree.
1 Pencil that produces Oregano.

Each of the 5 pencils that grow into Spruce Trees has an imprinted tree-related quote on it. The Spruce Tree seeds are encapsulated in the cap of the pencil (the green portion at the top that you see in my photos).

Directions: Plant in a pot with sauce in good moist potting soil. Plant at a 30-degree angle with the seed capsule only covered in soil. Water often in saucer to keep moist. They need to be kept at room temperatre 68 degrees F with natural light. Avoid direct sunlight. Within 1-4 weeks, fresh plants will sprout.

One of my favorite products is the Sprout Plantable Makeup Liner that I received. It’s a beautiful brown shade that is universal. Me, my mom, and my adult daughter can all wear that shade. We’ve used it as a top lid eyeliner and as an eyebrow pencil. Yup, you can use it both ways!  Once you’re done using it…follow the instructions and plant it. It will produce wildflowers! How cool is that? Totally cool.

I think these eco-friendly…plantable pencils would make GREAT stocking stuffers, secret Santa gifts, etc. this Christmas holiday season. They’re unique and not something you see every day. Perfect gift for the person who has everything…but these!
