Sam and I love outdoor street art and wall murals. Every time we travel we seek them out and photograph them. One of our favorite wall mural companies is called MG Signs. I’ve personally seen and photographed over 30+ of their designs throughout the state of New Jersey.
While on vacation back in June down in Wildwood I had the opportunity to see one of the artists painting a new one! It’s an advertisement for the Island Breeze Motel…letting visitors know that they’re dog friendly. I love the Americana coloring on this one!!!
This artist is fast! He had the outlined drawn out onto the side of the building and then got to work on painting that adorable dog! From the outlining until what you see in my photograph was done in a span of about 2 hours. When I left he said he would be finishing it up the following day. That’s talent!!!
I was in awe to see that he only had a couple of cans of paint sitting beside him and how he mixed colors together to get the perfect shades that he needed. The coloring, high lights and low lights are absolutely perfect! I sure wish I was talented like that!
Anyway, just wanted to show you one of their wall murals and finally I got to see one that was a work in progress! Yay!!!
I would have loved to see this work in progress. Watching a talented artist work is a lot of fun for me. I hope I can go down and see these murals soon.
It is so impressive to see how artists create and work. What fun to see a painting as it is in process.
He is so skilled! It’s always a lot of fun to watch artists create.
That is amazing. I would like to see them too.
It’s fun to watch an artist at work. Makes me glad to see a work in progress.
