I’m an HVAC supervisor, electrician, plumber, licensed contractor, etc. and have been using Dorcy products for decades. Not only do I use them daily at work…my employees use them too!
There are times that I need to be hands-free at work or at home while working on a project. For those times I use the Dorcy Pro Rechargeable 1000 Lumens Headlamp. This headlamp has all of the features that I need to get the job done and it’s comfortable to wear. Trust me, not all headlamps are comfortable!

One of the cool features is that you get different runtimes depending on the light mode that you’re using. For example – If you’re running the headlamp on high you get approximately 3 hours of runtime. If you’re running it on low you’ll get appoximately 12 hours. I find that for most of the jobs that I’m doing that the medium light setting is sufficient.
The headlamp is adjustable to fit any size head comfortably. I have what I consider to be a slightly larger than average size head while my one tech has a smaller head. Both of us can wear it comfortably and wear it for hours. You can wear it indoors or outdoors, even while outdoors in the rain (it’s water resistant). There’s a bezel that you can twist to get the light to focus on a particular area which is easily done with one hand. Everything about this headlamp is quality.
Even if you don’t work in a trades field I feel that every home should have one. There are projects around the house that will require you to be hands free. What about walking the dog at night? Riding a bicycle at night? If you go hiking, camping, night fishing, or any nightime outdoor activity…a headlamp would be better than using a hand-held flashlight. At least in my opinion.
