My 7 year old son suffers with mild to moderate anxiety. At times he has a hard time sitting still, focusing, and/or winding down. As a mother, I’ve chose to NOT medicate him for it. Instead, I look for items to help him with the problems…like these fantastic CMY Cubes.
We received a few of them a couple of weeks ago. They come in different sizes, color-ways and shapes. They’re mesmorizing when you see them. My son likes to put colored paper or colored fabric items underneath (like my placemats) to see the colors change again.
When I need him to settle down, unwind, and/or focus on something…I get out the CMY Cubes. He sits at his little table for several minutes playing with them. It’s never the same experience twice! He’s always coming up with new ways to bring out different color patterns. After a few minutes he settles downs and the anxiety disappears.
