Morey’s Piers owns many of the big attractions located on the Wildwood island. On the boardwalk you’ll find 3 piers full of amusement rides and carnival style games. You’ll find a waterpark, arcades, and more. Every year we’re down we like to spend one evening enjoying the rides with our grandkids.
When it comes to the amusement park rides there is something for everyone. You’ll find roller coasters, bumper cars, water rides, sky rides, the big wheel (ferris wheel), kiddie rides, etc. Our grandson stays mostly with the kiddie rides but our granddaughter is a teenager now and is all about the roller coasters and adult rides.
Like all amusement parks…it’s expensive! You can buy tickets and pay per ride or purchase a wrist band which is unlimited rides for a certain length of time. All rides have a sign posted on safety requirements, such as age, height and weight. They’re strict, so make sure you meet the requirements before getting in line.
It’s recommended that you dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. You don’t want to wear hats, flip-flops, and other things that may blow off while riding. Playing during the daytime? Wear sunblock! Leave bags in your hotel room or vehicle…you don’t want to be dragging them along.
Each pier has their own unique set of rides, so you’ll want to visit them all. You can buy food and beverages while there…or after you’re done head onto the boardwalk for more options. We tend to eat on the boardwalk after we’re done.
The family always has a lot of fun but be prepared to spend some money. It’s not cheap as all amusement parks across America are typically expensive. If you want to stay within a budget…look for discount deals and ride during the off-peak times and season.
This pier sounds like a great place for families to have fun. My granddaughter would love the motorcycle ride on the carousel.
