I’m approaching 72 years old and my immune system isn’t the best. A friend of mine told me that 6 months ago she started taking black elderberry syrup per the advice of her physician. She told me that she really feels that it has helped her immune system get stronger. Matter of fact, she states she hasn’t had any colds or viruses since starting it. Okay, now I had to give it a try.

After doing some research I picked up a bottle of the Sambucol Black Elderberry Syrup Dietary Supplement. It’s scientifically tested to help support the immune system and was developed by a virologist. It’s naturally flavored with the goodness of Elderberry and is gluten-free.
Directions for Use
* Adults and children over 4 years of age should take 2 teaspoons daily. That’s considered the maintenance dose.
* Adults and children over 4 years of age can take 2 teaspoons up to 4x a day for intensive use.
Elderberry Syrup can be mixed into water, fruit juice, smoothies, yogurt, vanilla ice cream, etc. if you don’t want to take it straight off the spoon.
I started taking the Sambucol Black Elderberry Syrup 4 1/2 weeks ago using just the maintenance dosage explained above. I didn’t feel anything different until week 3. Why week 3? Well, typically I get every cold and germ that I come into contact with and had spent the weekend with my great grandson who came down with a sinus infection and bronchitis. I was sure I was going to get it next. Well…all I got was 2 days of light sniffles! Wow. I was impressed. That’s the only “tad” of an illness that I’ve had since I started taking it!
I’m so convinced that this product is helping to boost my immune system that I went out and purchase 3 more bottles (another one for me, one for my adult daughter, and one for my adult granddaughter) to try. I’m not going to say it’s a cure-all and that I’ll never get sick again (we know that would be a fib), but I do feel that it’s helping my immune system get stronger. Of course, I’m no doctor, so you should always discuss these things with a healthcare professional.

I do take a lot of different supplements. Some of them are a mixture of different herbs and do contain elderberry in them,
