Grocery prices are out of control, way out of control! My family’s grocery bill has doubled in the past 4 months and I’m not happy about that! Ridiculous! I would like to know what you’re doing to help save money on groceries? How are you pinching those pennies and stretching out the food budget?

Comments

  1. It does seem like so many of our basic groceries have increased in price. I do buy generic and am trying to be aware of what produce is in my fridge and using it.

I do like this quote and I never heard it before your post. I am using more beans and vegetables with any meat dish. Sometimes I make my own bread or pasta too.

I am trying to be more aware of what is in my refrigerator. If I have veggie starting to get old I will shop them up and roast them. I can use them in a lot of different ways. I have been using chick peas in a lot of different salads. Never been a big meat eater but once in a while I will find a good price on a small piece of meat and pick it up. It is just me so I am a bit for flexible.

We are having less meat, different kinds of dried beans, and I am back to using coupons. I wrote a couple of companies and asked for coupons and they sent high value coupons to me in the mail.
