Sciabica Family Olive Oil and Gourmet Foods

August 24, 2022 by Carol

Sciabica Family Olive Oil and Gourmet FoodsFor five generations the Sciabica Family has been a leader in cold pressing award-winning olive oil making it the oldest continuously produced olive oil in the country. Since 1936, The Sciabica Family has been cold-pressing olive oil in California. Jonathan Sciabica’s great-grandfather and grandfather began with the artisan knowledge of olive oil production learned in Marsala, Sicily. This knowledge has now been passed on for four generations.

Their olive oils contain no artificial flavorings or additives, they’re all GMO-free, sustainably farmed, and artisan-crafted in small batches. Sciabica offers a variety of cold-pressed flavors such as Garlic, Lemon, Jalapeno, Basil, Mediterranean Medley, and Sticky Balsamic. These simple ingredients combine to make some deliciously impactful flavors perfect for drizzling over salads, using as marinades, or just adding them as a burst of flavor to your favorite dishes.

You’ll find all kinds of different products on the Sciabica Family website. You can shop for olive oil, vinegar, handcrafted soaps, body oils, lip balms, pasta, pasta sauces, olive oil almonds, cookbooks, gear, and more!

California Olive Oil Soap

For this review I received a bar of the California Olive Oil Soap in the Lavender fragrance. I first want to say how beautiful this soap bar looks! Very soothing and appealing to the eye. It comes nicely packaged, so if you can definitely give these soap bars as gifts.

The soap is crafted with 100% natural California Olive Oil and blended with healing essential oils. Each bar is made by hand in small batches. I’ve been a fan of olive oil based soaps for many years. The olive oil is very moisturizing to the skin and they’re perfect for sensitive skin when you don’t want to use anything with harsh chemicals. Each bar has a light lavender fragrance, nothing over-powering at all.

California Olive Oil Soap

Let’s talk about lather. These soaps lather up really nicely! I’ve been using it in the shower and while soaking in the tub. You get such a nice lather that you can actually use it while shaving your legs! Your skin feels silky soft and smooth after using it with no sticky residues left behind. After just one use…you’ll feel the difference. 100% better than commerical store bought soaps!

You can visit the Sciabica Family website called Sunshine in a Bottle to check out all of their olive oil products and gourmet foods. They have something for everyone! I have my “eye” on their Sweet Peach Balsamic Vinegar. I love using flavored vinegars as dippers with artisan bread. You can connect with the company on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.

I have never tried the Sciabaca line of products. I love the scent of lavender, but I would probably try their olive oil first.

I bet that soap is nice. I like the smell of lavender. Thank you for the review.
