During the summertime we drink a lot of sweet iced tea. It’s one of the most refreshing drinks you can consume on a hot summer day. One of our favorite ways to enjoy it is with the addition of fresh peaches and guess what? It’s really easy to make at home!
Homemade Peach Iced Sweet Tea Recipe
2 Ripe Peaches, Skin Removed, Pit Removed, Chopped into Pieces
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 1/4 cup Water
4 Tea Bags
7 3/4 cups Water
In a medium saucepan combine together the 1 1/4 cups of water, granulated sugar, and the chopped fresh peaches. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat and simmer on low for 3 additional minutes. Remove from heat. Use a large spoon and smoosh the peaches into your hot liquid. Stir to combine. Place lid over pan and let sit for 15-20 minutes. This process is how you make the sweetened peach syrup.
Place tea bags into a large pan with 7 3/4 cups of water. Bring to a boil and boil for 1-2 minutes. Turn off heat. Let the tea steep and cool down in the pan. Once cool…transfer to a beverage pitcher.
Use a slotted spoon to remove any remaining chunks of peaches from the first pan. Pour the sugar and peach syrup into the large beverage pitcher with the tea. Stir. Cover the pitcher and place into the refrigerator for 2-4 hours. You want it to get nice and cold…plus let the flavors infuse.
Serve the homemade peach tea over ice in a tall glass. Enjoy!
Note: Don’t have fresh peaches on hand or want to mess making your own syrup? Well, you can easily pick up a bottle of Peach Syrup and use that! It’s great for homemade beverages, yogurts, ice creams, fruit smoothies, etc.

I drink iced tea every day. Although I make my own mixture I never have tried to add fresh peaches to it. This recipe sounds delicious.
