Family Time – Mini Golf at The Meadows

Mini Golf at The MeadowsLast month we had our 2 grandchildren over to our home for a weekend sleepover and decided to take them out to play mini golf. We headed to one of our favorite miniature golf courses called The Meadows. It’s a really nice course that’s fun, but yet challenging enough for the adults.

There are 18-holes  with most being par 2 and par 3 for adults. Some holes have nearyby water features. The kids like to “purposely” hit their balls into the water. There are nets located nearby to get your balls out, so it’s not a big deal all though annoying.

On the day we were there it was blazing hot, too hot! We had promised to take them and Pappy keeps his promises. Not only was it hot and sweaty but the bugs were bad too. We did our best to push along the course and to do so quickly.

There are 18-holes for you to play and they give you a score card so that you can keep score along the way. At the front of the course is a sign with all of the miniature golf rules imprinted on it. If you’re playing with kids, I recommend you stop and read it or let the kids read the sign. A good way for them to learn the proper rules of playing.

Once we were done playing we headed up to The Meadows Frozen Custard shop and got frozen custard and milkshakes. We definitely needed them to help us cool down after being out in the hot sun and humidity. You can eat there or get your goodies to-go. Overall, a nice family afternoon with the kids.

I used to enjoy playing mini golf, but my grandchildren really have not appreciated it. It looks like you all enjoyed the experience.
