Craft Foam Flip Flops Refrigerator Magnets

Craft Foam Flip Flops Refrigerator MagnetsThese foam flip flops are easy-to-make from scraps of craft foam! They make adorable refrigerator magnets or use as embellishments in your greetint cards or scrapbooking layouts. Flip-Flops scream summertime fun! I was able to make this pair in less than 15 minutes flat (not including glue drying time).

Use Google to find a FREE flip flops template by searching the images using the keyword Flip Flop Template. Resize it to a size you like. The template pattern I used measures 2 1/2″ tall by 1 1/8″ wide at the widest part of the flip-flop. Print out the image and cut it out with scissors. You now have a template/pattern.

Trace around the image onto craft foam. I used a sheet of pink colored foam. You’ll need two of them, one for the left foot and one for the right foot. The thong strap is basically a V-shape that was cut from blue craft foam to fit onto each sandal. Use a little bit of craft glue to tack it into place.

You can decorate the thong (toe portion) with a rhinestone, tiny flower, charm, sequins, metallic confetti, beads, or whatever you have on hand in your scrap box. I used metallic confetti on this pair in a hot pink colored flower shape. Tack it down with a little bit of glue. Once dry, flip them over and glue a magnet onto the back of each one. Let dry overnight. That’s it, you’re done!
