Kids and adults love the classic arcade games from decades past. I can remember playing Pacman, Asteroids, Millipede, Space Invaders, Mrs. Pacman, Mario, etc. when I was in my late teens and early adult years. I admit, I still enjoy playing those classic arcade games. I would rather play the classics then the newer ones out in the marketplace. I guess I’m old-school.

During the Covid lockdown I invested in the Arcade 1Up Atari Electronic Game Cabinet for our family room. We needed something to do while being stuck inside. The gaming system includes several classic video games:
Asteroids
Centipede
Missle Command
Crystal Castles
Lunar Lander
Tempest
Atari Milipeded
Liberator
Plus More!
This game cabinet allows players to stand-up or sit down on a stool while playing. The graphics and sound are realistic, just like those classic games that we all remember playing. The volume can be turned up or down and all of the controls are easy-to-operate. You can change from one game to another quickly…1 or 2 player games.
I admit…the unit is an investment, but it’s investment that has paid big dividends in our family. Over the past 2 years it’s allowed us bonding time with our 2 grandchildren who love to come over and play games with us on it. It’s fun to challenge one another. My wife enjoys playing games on it too. These are the type’s of video games that are family approves of children playing. (not those violent games you see out in the retail marketplace).
My family has been hard on it over the past 2 years and it still works perfectly! It’s the first thing that people run towards in our game room. It’s a real hit out of all of the other games that we own. It’s nice to be able to sit down (or stand-up) and play the classic games from the 80’s. When video games were still safe and fun to play!
In all honesty, I think it would make a great family gift, Christmas holiday gift, birthday gift, etc. for the family who wants fun gaming and bonding time together. You can find several different models over on Amazon for a decent price, plus it’s delivered to your front door. It’s one of the best “family gifts” that I’ve purchased and well worth my investment.

I have not played on this type of machine since I was a teenage. My younger son still enjoys playing on them.
It has been a long time since I have played on one of these, but I can see how it would be worth it especially having something to do when the grandkids are visiting. A good alternative to having them play on their individual electronics or watch TV for hours.
I may be one of the few that have never played a game on this type of machine. I have to admit I am surprised at how cheap this machine is. Going to share with several family members who would love to have this
